About the role
Job Title: Mainframe CICS System Administrator Duration: 12+ Month (Potential extension) Location: Phoenix, AZ Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with Job Control Language (JCL) Deep understanding of Mainframe Operating Systems (z/OS) Proven experience in Mainframe Support and production operations Solid background in Systems Programming within a mainframe environment Experience with CICS system administration and support Knowledge of TSO/ISPF utilities, datasets, and mainframe tools Familiarity with batch scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control-M, or equivalent) Experience with system performance monitoring and tuning Understanding of mainframe security frameworks (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret) Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with COBOL and CICS transaction processing Knowledge of DB2 for z/OS or IMS databases Exposure to mainframe modernization or cloud integration efforts Experience with automation and scripting in mainframe environments Familiarity with Workload Manager (WLM) and capacity planning Best Regards, Gowtham VN gowtham.vn@experis.com
