We are seeking an experienced individual to drive integration of next-generation core system with downstream applications and systems across different business segments (e.g. Retail, SME, and Commercial). This role is responsible for designing, planning, and executing the integration of legacy systems, third-party platforms, and modern cloud-native applications as part of a core system modernisation initiative. You will lead the integration architecture, coordinate cross-functional technical teams, manage interfaces across internal and external systems, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable integrations. This role is essential to ensuring end-to-end system interoperability and smooth business operations across a highly regulated enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Leadership

Define integration strategy, architecture, and approach aligned with project objectives and program timelines

Serve as the primary liaison between clients, core banking vendors, third-party providers, and internal teams for all integration matters

Oversee the end-to-end integration lifecycle between core banking platforms and supporting applications (e.g. payments, CRM, digital channels, and third-party services)

Collaboration & Coordination

Coordinate with technical leads, business analysts, and solution architects to ensure consistent and reliable integration across all workstreams

Guide planning for system integration testing (SIT/UAT), interface validation, and operational readiness

Identify integration risks and dependencies early, and facilitate timely mitigation in collaboration with stakeholders

Governance & Reporting

Provide regular updates to senior leadership and governance forums on integration progress, challenges, and resolutions

Ensure adherence to integration standards, best practices, and compliance requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Required Qualifications

Education & Technical Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

Over 8 years of experience in core system integration or related system implementation and project management experience

Proven expertise with next-generation core system platforms and integration frameworks (e.g. API-led, middleware, messaging layers)

Understanding of modern core system architectures, including cloud-enabled, modular, and scalable systems

Strong knowledge of integration patterns, data flows, synchronization strategies, and interface management

Deep understanding of financial services core modules, such as:

Banking (e.g. CASA, Deposits, Loans, Payments, Customer, Treasury)

Familiarity with banking operations, business processes, and regulatory reporting (e.g., financial accounting, CCRIS, STATsmart, MFRS9, PIDM, EAL)

Insurance (e.g. Policy administration, Underwriting, Claims Management, Payments, Re-insurance)

Treasury (e.g. Customer, Trade Booking, Trade Event, Settlement, Post Settlement)

Professional Certification

TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification

Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Agile, SAFe, or ITIL certifications a plus

Leadership & Soft Skills

Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating multiple vendors, internal teams, and senior client leadership

Excellent communication, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities

Problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
