Detailing Engineers

Detailing Engineers Required Educational Level and Certificates: Diploma or Degree in Civil, Architectural or Mechanical Engineering, or Two years Certificate Course in Drafting. Course in AutoCAD / Tekla Structures. Required Experience: Min. 2 Years in drafting / detailing of steel buildings and structures, out of which minimum 6 months in Pre-Engineered Buildings. Minimum 4 years experience for those without diploma or degree, but with two years certificate course in Drafting. Required Professional Knowledge: Hands on Experience in AutoCAD and preferably in the use of Tekla for 3D modeling. Knowledge of developing connection details for steel buildings and structures based on design data and drawings, knowledge of techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of accurate fabrication drawings and bill of quantities. Required Competencies: Commitment, Teamwork, Analytical Thinking, Cost Consciousness, Product / Service Knowledge, Industry Knowledge, Communication, Attention to Details, Ability to work well in teams and good interpersonal skills. Prepare Proposal / Approval / Erection / Fabrication Drawings and Bill of Materials for steel buildings. Coordinate with the Design Engineer to understand the design drawings and implement the member sizes and connection details correctly in the Tekla model. Answer clarifications raised by Production department and implement material substitution requirements. Work closely with design engineer/checker, other detailing engineers/checkers to ensure that the job is error free and all design/detailing requirements are incorporated correctly.
