Production Engineers

Production Engineers Required Educational Level and Certificates: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Certificate course in PLC Programming and CNC machine Operation is desirable. Required Experience: Min. 2 Years in production planning and machinery operation in Structural steel Building or Pre-Engineered Steel Building fabrication plant. Minimum 4 years experience for those without diploma or degree, but with two years certificate course. Required Professional Knowledge: Hands on Experience in the shop floor and operation of machinery such as iron worker, plasma planner, Shearing machine, Automatic welding machine, etc. Ability to read and interpret the fabrication drawings, Bill of Quantities, CNC data etc. required for the production of steel structural components. Capable of preparing nesting plans and cut lists, production orders etc. Required Competencies: Commitment, Teamwork, Analytical Thinking, Cost Consciousness, Product / Service Knowledge, Industry Knowledge, Communication, Attention to Details, Ability to work well in teams and good interpersonal skills. Liaison with detailing engineers/checkers to clarify any doubts in the fabrication drawings and understand the details correctly and ensure that the requirements are incorporated correctly. Assess raw material requirements, plan as per job requirements well in advance and make sure that materials are available for production in time. Prepare machine loading and Fabrication plans, issue them to the concerned production staff and make sure that these are executed as per plans.
