Job Summary Engineering Manager FA Trust Location: India (Hybrid) Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering delivery from India across a portfolio of third-party product integrations, internally built platforms, and emerging agentic AI capabilities. This role combines people leadership, technical direction, and execution ownership in a global engineering environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience leading engineering teams, delivering cloud-native and integration-heavy solutions, and adopting AI-assisted engineering practices to improve product development and delivery. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership and Delivery Lead, manage, and develop a team of 10+ engineers. Drive execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery. Foster a culture of accountability, engineering quality, and continuous improvement. Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership across architecture, design, and delivery of cloud-native applications and integration services. Act as an escalation point for complex challenges involving integrations, identity, architecture, and platform reliability. Partner with engineers on solution design, technical trade-offs, and implementation decisions. Support strategic engineering priorities including platform simplification, cost optimization, AI-assisted engineering, and development of agentic AI capabilities. Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration Align with engineering and business leadership on priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans. Collaborate closely with FA Trust product teams and partner teams across India and the US. Ensure clear communication, dependency management, and execution across distributed teams. Support enterprise initiatives related to modernization, security, and platform standardization. Governance and Operational Excellence Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security controls, and compliance requirements. Drive improvements in availability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency. Promote disciplined engineering practices across delivery and operations. Agentic Product Development (desirable) Support adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across the team. Identify practical use cases for agentic AI and AI-enabled workflows in engineering and product delivery. Guide teams in designing, integrating, and operating agentic capabilities within products and internal platforms where appropriate. Required Qualifications 14+ years of software engineering experience. 2+ years of experience in an Engineering Manager or Technical Manager role. Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in complex delivery environments. Strong background in architecture and design of cloud-native applications and enterprise integration solutions. Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on Azure using Python. Strong knowledge of Azure services including Kubernetes, Azure Functions, and API Management. Experience in designing and building REST APIs, webhooks, and service integrations. Strong RDBMS experience, including schema design and query development in PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or similar databases. Solid understanding of API design, integration patterns, enterprise architecture, security, scalability, observability, and performance engineering. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. Experience working with global teams in a matrixed organization. Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering large-scale integration programs. Exposure to API governance, security controls, and platform cost optimization. Experience working closely with US-based engineering leadership. Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native delivery practices. Exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools and agentic AI development. Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
