Engineer Lead, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (Data Scientist)

As an Engineer Lead in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (Data Scientist) at FIS, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology. The team consists of highly motivated solution architects, data scientists, and ML engineers. Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing cutting-edge Gen AI and Agentic solutions across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop end-to-end ML models, from data exploration to production deployment - Build predictive models, classification and regression models, clustering & segmentation, time-series forecasting, and optimization models - Utilize expertise in feature engineering, data preprocessing, and handling large, messy datasets - Work with big data ecosystems such as Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, EMR, etc. - Operationalize ML using REST APIs, batch jobs, or cloud AI/ML services - Implement MLOps concepts and work in cloud environments like AWS, GCP, Azure - Proficiency in Python and scientific/ML libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Statsmodels - Strong understanding of statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, and experiment design - Experience with SQL and working with relational & NoSQL databases - Translate business problems into analytical solutions - Communicate insights clearly to business and technical teams Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience Additional Details: FIS is the world's largest global provider dedicated to financial technology solutions with over 50 years of history in the financial services industry.
