Senior Shopify Developer

You will be joining Therabody, the wellness tech leader, with a mission to inspire and enable every body and mind to keep moving. As a Senior Shopify Engineer at Therabody, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for implementing complex designs and maintaining a high-quality Shopify application. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring top performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications. You should have extensive experience in Shopify development and possess strong full-stack capabilities including front-end and backend skills, as well as experience with devops processes. Additionally, you will lead a team of software engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences. This position is based in Therabody's office in Flatworld Bangalore. Key Responsibilities: - Understand core technical aspects of the ecommerce platform Shopify Plus to implement new features and troubleshoot and resolve bugs. - Act as the Lead Shopify Developer, overseeing technical projects, and serving as a visible collaborative and Agile leader. - Design, implement, integrate, and optimize solutions crucial for the business. - Create and manage supporting documentation deliverables following the Agile / Scrum methodology, such as User Stories, Technical Specifications Document (TSD), Use Cases, Data Mapping, Workflow Diagrams, QA, automated testing strategies, CICD pipelines, and more. - Write clean, well-commented code for various technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, React, PHP Core/Laravel or Node.js, AWS Lambda, and manage a CICD pipeline for code deployment. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3+ years of Shopify experience and 5+ years of eCommerce Web Development experience. - Proficiency in Progressive Web, React JS, Liquid, HTML 5, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, Web Development, Node.js. - Experience with Shopify Custom-build applications, theme modifications, 3rd Party App Integrations, and GitHub Actions. - Ability to convert Figma files to front-end, responsive, pixel-perfect pages and components. - Familiarity with GraphQL, Microservices, Restful Web Services, Webhooks, and working with APIs. - Proficiency in JavaScript libraries like jQuery, React.js, Node.js, and native JS for DOM manipulation. - Strong understanding of SEO and ADA principles, as well as developing UI for responsive websites. - Focus on browser and device rendering behavior, performance optimization, and scalability. - Excellent teaming and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other teams.
