About the role
Role Overview: Forbes Advisor, a part of the Forbes Marketplace, is dedicated to providing consumers with expert insights and reviews on various topics such as personal finance, health, business, and lifestyle decisions. As a Data Platform Engineer in the data engineering team, your primary responsibility will be to focus on the internal roadmap and ensure the smooth operations of data platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and oversee the execution of production data pipelines and workflows to maintain seamless operations. - Conduct initial investigations for any issues that arise, utilizing logs and monitoring tools effectively. - Create and manage tickets for identified production issues, ensuring accurate documentation and impact analysis. - Communicate incidents within the Data Team promptly to address and resolve issues efficiently. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in supporting production pipelines. - Proficiency in SQL for debugging tasks. - Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like BigQuery. - Basic understanding of DevOps practices and automating CI/CD pipelines. - Strong Python proficiency.
