Job Title: SAP Group Reporting Consultant Experience: 3 - 8 Years Location: Hyderabad / Bengaluru / Pune / Mumbai / Kolkata / Chennai / Gurgaon Work Mode: Hybrid Shift Timings: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST Interview Process: 2 Technical Rounds Level: Consultant (Individual Contributor) Job Summary We are looking for experienced SAP Group Reporting Consultants with 3–8 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting and financial consolidation processes. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in configuring and supporting SAP Group Reporting functionalities, including master data setup and mapping, Data Monitor, Consolidation Monitor, historical data migration, currency translation, intercompany eliminations, consolidation of investments, data aggregation, and reporting rules. The role involves implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Group Reporting solutions, analyzing consolidation requirements, troubleshooting functional issues, supporting data migration and testing activities, and collaborating with finance and technical teams to deliver accurate and efficient financial consolidation solutions. Key Responsibilities SAP Group Reporting Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting functionalities. Perform master data setup, maintenance, and mapping for group reporting requirements. Configure and support the Data Monitor and Consolidation Monitor. Support data collection, validation, and consolidation activities. Configure and maintain consolidation processes based on business requirements. Support financial consolidation and group reporting processes. Master Data Setup & Mapping Configure and maintain relevant master data for Group Reporting. Define and maintain mappings between source systems and Group Reporting. Support mapping of organizational units, accounts, entities, and other consolidation-relevant master data. Analyze and resolve master data and mapping-related issues. Historical Data Migration Support historical data migration into the SAP Group Reporting environment. Analyze legacy data and define appropriate migration and mapping requirements. Validate migrated historical data for accuracy and completeness. Support reconciliation between legacy systems and SAP Group Reporting. Currency Translation Configure and support currency translation processes. Define and maintain currency translation rules based on business requirements. Support foreign currency translation during consolidation. Analyze and resolve currency translation-related issues. Intercompany (IC) Elimination Configure and support intercompany elimination processes. Analyze intercompany differences and elimination requirements. Support reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions. Troubleshoot issues related to intercompany matching and elimination. Consolidation of Investments Support the configuration and execution of consolidation of investment processes. Work with finance and consolidation teams to understand investment consolidation requirements. Support the analysis and resolution of investment consolidation-related issues. Ensure accurate consolidation results as per business requirements. Data Aggregation & Release Processes Support aggregation of financial data during the release process. Configure and validate data release and consolidation activities. Monitor data processing and identify inconsistencies or errors. Ensure accurate data flow from source systems into consolidation processes. Reporting Rules & Consolidation Reporting Configure and maintain reporting rules based on business requirements. Support consolidation reporting and financial reporting requirements. Analyze reporting requirements and translate them into functional configurations. Validate consolidated data and reporting outputs. Configuration & Testing Perform functional configuration in SAP Group Reporting. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testing. Prepare test scenarios and test scripts based on business requirements. Validate system functionality after configuration changes and enhancements. Support defect analysis, resolution, and retesting. Production Support & Issue Resolution Provide functional support for SAP Group Reporting production issues. Analyze and resolve issues related to consolidation, data collection, master data, mappings, currency translation, and eliminations. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend permanent solutions. Resolve issues within agreed SLA timelines. Support month-end and year-end financial consolidation activities. Change & Enhancement Management Analyze business requirements and enhancement requests. Assess the impact of proposed changes on existing consolidation processes. Coordinate configuration, testing, and deployment activities. Maintain change logs, functional specifications, and related documentation. Documentation Prepare and maintain: o Functional Design Documents (FDD) o Configuration Documents o Business Process Documents o Test Scripts and Test Results o User Guides o Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) o Knowledge Articles o Issue and Solution Documentation Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with: o Finance and Controlling Teams o Corporate Consolidation Teams o Business Users o SAP Technical Teams o Project Managers o Integration and Data Migration Teams Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and process discussions. Understand business consolidation requirements and provide functional solutions. Support user training and knowledge transfer activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of SAP Group Reporting solutions. Preferred Candidate Profile 3–8 years of experience in SAP Group Reporting or SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting. Strong hands-on experience with master data setup and mapping. Experience configuring and supporting Data Monitor and Consolidation Monitor. Hands-on experience with historical data migration. Strong understanding of currency translation and consolidation processes. Experience with intercompany elimination and consolidation of investments. Experience supporting data aggregation during the release process. Good understanding of reporting rules and financial consolidation requirements. Experience in production support, enhancements, and change request management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global finance and technical stakeholders. Willingness to work in the 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST shift.
