JOB DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATION Job Specification & Title: Department: Vehicle System Position: Lead Bus Vehicle Integration Experience: 7 to 10 Years Location: Chennai / Pune The Lead Engineer will serve as a technical lead, driving the integration of mechanical, electrical, and powertrain systems (desired for electric bus platforms). The ideal candidate will possess deep practical knowledge of bus body construction, interior/exterior trims, E/E systems, and e-powertrain components, ensuring all elements function harmoniously to deliver a safe, reliable, and high-performance vehicle. Job Responsibilities Educational Qualifications Required: B.E., /B.Tech., in Mechanical Engineering/ Automobile Engineering with 7 10 years Experience in design & dev of Bus Lead the integration and packaging of all vehicle systems in both virtual DMU & physical prototype. Expertise in vehicle layout preparation, DMU activities, reviews, concept/ Proposal creation Conduct interference checks and spatial analyses to optimize component layout within the tight constraints of a bus architecture, considering weight distribution & CG. Develop and finalize vehicle hard points, mounting strategies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). knowledge of bus body structures, structural integrity Oversee integration of Interior & Exterior trims. Know-how of EE (LV & HV) systems & integration requirements Ensure all designs meet regulatory & safety Stds. Participate in weekly project discussion with OEM customers & other stake holders Provide inputs to cross function team, continuous follow up with team for the closure of points Know-how of Root cause analysis of build, testing issues and implementation of suitable solution Handle team of 5~10 design engineers Knowhow on Documents preparation for design proposals and convergence Should have knowhow of effort Estimation & timeline preparation Know-how or experience to conduct functional, performance testing & requirements of veh systems Experience Required: 5 to 10 yrs in Vehicle Integration domain design & development experience from BUS and / Commercial Vehicles At least worked/delivered one complete program Knowledge of CAD tools CREO & Catia Sound knowledge about calculations, material grades, processes manufacturing processes, different material grades used for automotive applications Knowledge in BOM,GD&T, DFMEA, DVVP & DFA Customer interaction Skill Set Required: Good communication & presentation skills Provide technical support and training for internal teams and customers as needed CREO (Primary Software Skill) Catia (Will be additional advantage) MS Office tools Interpersonal skills
