About the role
Deliver high-quality mechanical HVAC design solutions for building services projects including commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical data centers. Take ownership of mechanical design packages and manage mid-to-large projects independently. Prepare project schedules, effort estimations, and technical documentation (Design Basis Reports, Specifications, Calculation Reports). Lead or support HVAC design tasks including heat and cooling load calculations, equipment selection, schematics, layouts, and schedules. Manage mechanical design with BIM and coordinate with MEP teams, ensuring compliance and quality. Develop HVAC system layouts including rooftop units, distributed cooling units, and underfloor air distribution as per data center standards. Ensure energy compliance and proper design for critical and non-critical service areas. Provide technical verification and QA checks during design stages, ensuring adherence to standards. Apply knowledge of data center classifications, PUE calculations, Uptime Institute, TIA 942, ASHRAE, FM200, EN, NFPA, and SMACNA standards. Prepare technical specifications, bills of quantity, cost estimations, and compliance statements. Lead BIM workflow standardization with strong quality control processes. Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and BIM teams to resolve issues and maintain alignment. Manage deliverables, timelines, and on-site client interactions to ensure successful project delivery. Support project quality planning and consistently deliver high-quality outputs. Supervise and mentor teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in data center design projects in Europe & USA.
