As a Database Administrator at GSPANN, you will be responsible for managing Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases in enterprise environments. Your primary focus will be on database performance tuning, high availability disaster recovery, and ensuring secure and reliable operations. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL databases in both production and non-production environments. - Monitor database health, performance, capacity, and availability to ensure stability and proactively prevent issues. - Tune queries by optimizing indexing strategies, analyzing execution plans, and enhancing overall database performance. - Execute approved Data Definition Language (DDL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), and Data Control Language (DCL) changes following governance and change management processes. - Design, implement, and manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including conducting regular failover testing. - Manage backup, restore, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and disaster recovery processes to guarantee data protection and recoverability. - Perform database refreshes, cloning, migrations, and decommissioning activities as part of lifecycle management. - Enforce database security by managing access controls, auditing, and compliance requirements. - Troubleshoot database incidents, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and operational documentation. Qualifications Required: - 6-8 years of hands-on experience managing Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL databases in production and non-production environments. - Strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, and High Availability / Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) implementations. - Advanced skills in Structured Query Language / Transact-SQL (SQL / T-SQL) for issue troubleshooting, query tuning, and indexing optimization. - Experience in backup, restore, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and database migration processes. - Proficiency in installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and managing database platforms across various environments. - Knowledge of designing, supporting, and maintaining HA/DR solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, SQL Server Always On, and database replication technologies. - Ability to collaborate effectively with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support releases and ensure operational stability.
