Automation Testing-Selenium A Selenium Automation Tester, also known as a Selenium Test Automation Engineer or Automation QA Engineer with Selenium, is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for web applications using the Selenium framework. This role focuses on ensuring software quality and functionality through the automation of repetitive testing tasks. Key Responsibilities: Test Automation Strategy & Design: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#). Identify and select appropriate test cases for automation, focusing on regression, functional, and performance testing. Implement various automation frameworks such as data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid, or BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks. Test Execution & Analysis: Execute automated test suites across different browsers and environments. Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them clearly and concisely. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues. Framework Maintenance & Improvement: Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage. Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Generate and analyze detailed test reports using tools like TestNG, it, Allure, or Extent Reports. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with developers, manual QA testers, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on testability and quality risks. Communicate test progress, results, and potential risks to stakeholders. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and its various components. Strong programming skills in a language com ly used with Selenium (e.g., Java, Python, C#). Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with API testing and related tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured) is often a plus. Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and debugging tools. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in software quality assurance and test automation, specifically with Selenium. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
