Data Governance+Business Analyst (Banking/Finance)

Company: Capgemini (Permanent with the same payroll) Role : Sr Business Analyst with Data Governance Location : Noida (Hybrid model - 2 to 3 Days WFO) Years of Experience : 6-8 Years Capgemini is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong experience in the Banking/Finance domain and Data Governance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions and ensure compliance with data governance frameworks for financial services clients. Key Responsibilities: Gather and analyze business requirements related to banking operations, risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current data processes, identify gaps, and propose solutions. Define and document data governance policies, standards, data dictionaries, and business glossaries. Support the implementation of data quality rules, data lineage, and metadata management. Facilitate workshops and interviews with business users, data owners, and IT teams. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology teams. Assist in the design and deployment of Data Governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, IBM IGC). Monitor and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR, Basel III). Contribute to the implementation of data stewardship and data ownership models. Report progress and risks to project managers and senior stakeholders. Required Skills and Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking/financial services industry. Strong understanding of Data Governance principles and data management frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK). Experience with regulatory data and compliance initiatives (e.g., FATCA, AML, Basel). Familiarity with banking domains such as Retail, Corporate, Investment Banking, Risk, or Treasury. Hands-on experience with data governance or metadata management tools is a plus. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments. Knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Certification in Data Governance (e.g., CDMP, Collibra Ranger) is a plus.
