About the role
Openshift L4 Engineer Job Sum y: The OpenShift L4 Engineer provides expert-level support, troubleshooting, and optimization for the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform within the financial firms private cloud environment. This role handles the most complex technical challenges, ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical containerized applications. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a subject matter expert for OpenShift Container Platform architecture, components, and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex L4 incidents related to OpenShift clusters, including networking, storage, authentication, and application deployments. Perform advanced cluster diagnostics, performance tuning, and capacity management. Design and implement automation for OpenShift operations, upgrades, and maintenance. Collaborate with application development teams to optimize containerized workloads and troubleshoot application-level issues on OpenShift. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ior engineers and support staff. Contribute to the evolution and roadmap of the OpenShift platform. Required Qualifications: Experience: 6+ years of experience in container orchestration, with at least 3-4 years dedicated to Red Hat OpenShift in an enterprise setting. Technical Skills: Deep expertise in OpenShift (OCP) administration, networking (SDN, OVN-Kubernetes), storage (OpenShift Container Storage/Ceph, persistent volumes), and authentication (LDAP, OpenID Connect). Strong knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, Docker, and Linux. Scripting (Bash, Python) and automation (Ansible) skills. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCE, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration) highly preferred. Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents.
