Roles & Responsibilities

A DevOps engineer’s roles and responsibilities are a combination of technical and management roles. It is essential to have excellent communication and coordination skills to successfully integrate various functions in a coordinated manner and deliver the responsibilities to the customer’s satisfaction.

▪ Helping our website scale ▪ Manage the security of Application and Infrastructure ▪ Setting up the monitoring and alerting mechanism for website and LMS ▪ Optimize the overall infrastructure cost ▪ Help us leverage the latest technology and trends in cloud operations. ▪ Train entire technology team so that we can become a Devops centric organization .

Requirements

· Minimum 2 to 3 years of Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role · Strong knowledge and experience of cloud infrastructure, systems, network design and cloud migrations projects. · Strong understanding of immutable infrastructure and infrastructure as code concepts. · Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins) is a must. · Strong knowledge of Shell, Python, Groovy or other programming language. · Strong prior experience using automation tools like Terraform (must), Ansible (must), Packer, Salt Stack (desired). · Working knowledge of orchestrating containerized infrastructure using docker and Kubernetes. · Strong Knowledge on monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, Zabbix, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, Splunk etc. · Architect systems, infrastructure and platforms using Linux and Cloud Services [Amazon Web Services] · Strong knowlege of computer network and concepts like TCP, HTTPS, UDP, DNS, Firewall etc. · Excellent command in the area of DevOps, AWS Cloud, CI/CD pipeline, Docker and Ansible, Jenkins, ANT, GIT, GitHub. · Experience in network design, infrastructure design and automation using tools like puppet and chef. · Experience on designing secure HA, DR, Backup and retention architectures using AWS cloud platform. · Proficient with different Docker components Docker Engine, Docker swarm, Docker image management, Compose and Docker Registry and has worked on at-least AWS Container Service / Kubernetes. · Expertise in Linux, Python, Perl and Shell scripting. Administration experience on Various Linux flavours including Centos, RHEL, Fedora, Debian. · Experience on AWS EC2, S3, Route53, VPC, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudFront, Lambda, Security, IAM &Macie, AWS Config etc. · Experience on Environment Provisioning, Administration and Monitoring on AWS Cloud. · Expertise in branching, tagging and maintaining the versions across the environments using SCM tools like GitHub, Bit Bucket. · Experience in log management, analysis and alerting approaches. · Insightful understanding of the demand of 24/7 system maintenance and has good customer support experience.
