About the role
Role Overview: As a Senior Technical Architect - Platform at our client's company, you will be responsible for designing and scaling secure, high-performance distributed systems for the healthcare data ecosystem. Your role will involve leading architecture decisions, defining platform standards, creating high-level and low-level design documents, and ensuring scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions using microservices, AWS/GCP, containerization, and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities: - Own platform architecture and drive end-to-end system design across services - Design scalable, resilient microservice and event-driven architectures - Architect secure, well-structured RESTful APIs and integration contracts - Lead distributed systems design (idempotency, retries, circuit breakers, fault tolerance) - Architect message-driven systems using Kafka / SQS / Pub-Sub or equivalent - Design secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, RBAC) - Define data modeling standards across relational and NoSQL databases - Optimize system performance, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency - Implement observability standards (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) - Design CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows for automated build, test, and deployment - Architect containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes - Ensure security best practices including encryption, secrets management, and audit logging - Review and approve high-level and low-level design documents across teams - Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices - Lead architecture discussions and influence technical roadmap decisions Qualifications Required: - Strong expertise in Data Structures, OOPS, SOLID principles, design patterns, distributed systems, debugging, and performance optimization - Proficiency in React, modern JavaScript (ES6+), scalable UI architecture, state management, responsive design, and performance optimization techniques like lazy loading and code splitting - Strong backend capabilities with Node.js (NestJS preferred) or Python/Java/.NET, including scalable RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and message brokers such as Kafka or SQS - Solid understanding of PostgreSQL/MSSQL and MongoDB, including data modeling, indexing strategies, and query optimization - Hands-on knowledge of AWS and GCP services, containerization with Docker, and Kubernetes-based deployment and scaling - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, and production incident management - Knowledge of automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright and familiarity with AI productivity tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT (Note: The additional details about the company were not included in the provided job description.)
