About the role
Role Overview: As a Senior DevOps Engineer at our leading Investor Services group, you will have the opportunity to join our infrastructure team and contribute significantly to the shaping and scaling of our on-premise technology landscape. This permanent role is ideal for a hands-on expert who excels in building and evolving secure, high-performance environments outside the cloud-first paradigm. You will play a key role in leading the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of our DevOps frameworks across a complex on-premise estate. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be pivotal in driving infrastructure-as-code initiatives, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and advocating best practices in automation, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement DevOps frameworks for infrastructure automation and orchestration. - Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform for multi-cloud and on-prem environments. - Configure and manage HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and secure credential handling. - Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, integrating automated testing and deployment. - Automate system configuration and provisioning using Ansible and custom Bash scripts. - Ensure compliance with security best practices and implement robust access control mechanisms. - Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps best practices across the organization. Qualifications: - Proven experience implementing DevOps frameworks in infrastructure environments. - Strong proficiency in HashiCorp Vault (deployment, configuration, policies, integrations), Terraform (modules, state management, multi-environment setups), Jenkins (pipeline scripting, plugins, integrations), Ansible (playbooks, roles, automation strategies), Bash scripting (automation, system administration tasks). - Solid understanding of Linux systems administration (Red Hat) and networking fundamentals. - Experience with CI/CD principles, version control (Git), and artifact management. - Knowledge of security best practices in infrastructure automation. - Certification in key technologies would be ideal (RHEL, HashiCorp).
