Sr Snowflake Consultant

Job Title - Sr Snowflake Consultant/Architect Experience Required - 6+ Years Time Zone: 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST Work Mode - Remote As an expert in the Snowflake platform, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize data environments and translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient data solutions. This role requires a balance of advanced technical data engineering skills and consultative client-facing abilities. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design: Design secure, scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and data mesh architectures tailored to specific client needs. Data Pipelines & Integration: Build and optimise ELT/ETL data pipelines using Python, SQL, Snowpark, and modern transformation tools like dbt. Migration & Upgrades: Lead the migration of legacy on-premises or cloud databases (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, AWS Redshift) into the Snowflake environment. Performance & Cost Optimisation: Monitor database performance, right-size virtual warehouses, utilize micro-partitioning, and enforce cost-guardrails (auto-suspend targets, query tagging). Security & Governance: Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), row/column-level security, data masking, and secure data sharing. Client Engagement: Lead client workshops, document technical specifications, and provide strategic recommendations to both technical teams and executive stakeholders. Required Qualifications & Tech Stack Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 6+ years of experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or data architecture. Core Competencies: Advanced SQL fluency, dimensional data modelling (Star/Snowflake schemas), and database optimisation. Languages: Proficiency in Python and SnowSQL. Tooling: Familiarity with data build tool (dbt), CI/CD pipelines (Git), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical problem solving, and the ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
