Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP FI/CO Application Specialist to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of SAP enterprise solutions. This role requires strong expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling modules, a deep understanding of finance business processes, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, implementation partners, and global colleagues to maximize the value of SAP investments. The position will play a key role in modernization initiatives, platform enhancements, and future ERP transformation programs. Key Responsibilities SAP Solution Leadership Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions, with primary focus on Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), Asset Accounting (AA), and Project Systems (PS). Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP application architecture and core business process design. Provide technical and functional guidance for SAP initiatives across multiple business functions. Drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, data quality, and operational effectiveness. Business Process Analysis Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders. Convert business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs. Ensure SAP configurations support both current operational needs and future scalability requirements. Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize business processes. ERP Transformation & Enhancement Lead system enhancement projects, upgrades, and platform improvements. Contribute to ERP modernization initiatives, including migration and adoption of SAP S/4HANA capabilities. Evaluate new SAP technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business strategy. Support roadmap planning for enterprise application evolution. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Finance, Accounting, PMO, Infrastructure, Security, and Business Operations teams. Coordinate activities with external vendors, implementation partners, and consulting organizations. Ensure technology solutions align with enterprise governance and business objectives. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support, Compliance & Governance Manage complex production incidents and service requests. Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions. Support internal and external audit activities through documentation, controls, and validation processes. Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements. Leadership & Mentoring Mentor junior SAP analysts, functional consultants, and support personnel. Deliver user training, knowledge sharing sessions, and process documentation. Promote best practices for SAP application management and support. Required Qualifications Experience 7+ years of hands-on SAP ERP experience, including ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments. Participation in at least two full lifecycle SAP implementation projects. Proven experience designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise SAP solutions. Functional Expertise Strong knowledge in one or more of the following SAP domains: SAP FI (Financial Accounting) SAP CO (Controlling) SAP AA (Asset Accounting) SAP PS (Project Systems) Business Knowledge Strong understanding of finance and accounting business processes. Ability to align technical solutions with operational and financial requirements. Experience working directly with business stakeholders and process owners. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Professional proficiency in both Japanese and English. Preferred Qualifications SAP Certifications SAP certification in FI, CO, AA, PS, or related modules.
