About the role
As an Electro-Mechanical Service Engineer at IBA for the installation team of Hyderabad's first Proton Therapy Center, your primary mission is to contribute to the successful installation, calibration, and commissioning activities of the Proton Therapy Centre, focusing on patient electromechanical equipment. Here are the key responsibilities that we trust you with: - Participating in the installation of IBA equipment on the Proton Therapy site, specifically focusing on electro-mechanical equipment such as Gantry, X-Ray equipment, CBCT, patient positioner, etc. - Testing, calibrating, and validating the equipment according to specifications, ensuring compliance, quality, technical performance, and timing meet customer requirements. - Analyzing data critically to diagnose potential technical problems. - Collaborating intensively with subcontractors during installation and commissioning phases to supervise the process until equipment start-up. - Troubleshooting equipment, including solving electrical and mechanical issues to maintain state-of-the-art technologies and services. - Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment during the customer service phase. - Operating the system, providing technical support to medical staff during patient treatment and clinical operations. - Ensuring client requirements are met in terms of technical performance, timing, and safety. - Training customers, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, and collaborating on system upgrades with R&D and other departments. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanics, Electro-mechanics, or Biomedical) or equivalent experience. - Solid experience in electronics/electrical system troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair. - Technical knowledge of cooling systems, vacuum systems, PLC's regulation loops, drivers, sensors, electric motors, positioning equipment, high and low voltage equipment. - Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
