About the role
Position: Senior Consultant (Backend Automation / SDET) Experience Required: 6 to 10 Years Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (CTH) Location: Delhi / NCR Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Consultant with a strong technical background in Java Backend Test Automation and SDET methodologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing Java-based APIs, microservices, and high-throughput, event-driven streaming pipelines within a cloud-native ecosystem. Core Responsibilities: - Design, build, and execute robust automated functional, integration, and non-functional test suites for Java-based microservices and REST APIs. - Validate complex, event-driven streaming pipelines using Kafka, Flink, and Kafka Streams. - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across data persistence layers, specifically MongoDB and Oracle databases. - Support production readiness by implementing automated testing architectures and quality controls within containerized environments (OpenShift). - Actively collaborate with development teams to implement shift-left testing practices, debug issues, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA). Technical Must-Haves: - Core Languages & Frameworks: Strong proficiency in Java automation frameworks (TestNG/JUnit, Rest Assured, or Cucumber). - API/Microservices Architecture: Extensive hands-on experience validating distributed microservices and RESTful endpoints. - Streaming & Messaging Tools: Practical understanding or hands-on testing exposure to Apache Kafka, Flink, or Kafka Streams. - Database Knowledge: Solid query verification skills across SQL (Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB). - Environments & Infrastructure: Exposure to containerized workflows using Red Hat OpenShift or Docker.
