You are a creative and technically versatile Junior WordPress Full Stack Developer who will be joining the icogz team on a 3-month contractual basis, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance and business requirements. Your role will involve both frontend implementation and backend WordPress development, focusing on theme and plugin customization, database interaction, third-party integrations, and website performance optimization. You should be comfortable working across the WordPress ecosystem, have a strong eye for design, and be able to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Frontend Development - Design and develop responsive WordPress websites aligned with brand guidelines. - Convert wireframes, design mockups, and creative briefs into functional web pages. - Customize WordPress themes and utilize page builders like Elementor or Gutenberg. - Ensure websites are optimized for various devices and browsers, implementing modern UI/UX best practices. - Backend Development - Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins using PHP and WordPress coding standards. - Work with MySQL databases, managing custom post types, taxonomies, and fields. - Integrate third-party services like payment gateways and marketing tools. - Implement WordPress hooks to extend functionality and support user role management. - Performance, Security & Maintenance - Optimize websites for speed, usability, and overall performance. - Apply WordPress security best practices and use Git for version control. - Troubleshoot frontend issues, backend errors, and plugin conflicts. - Assist with website deployment, testing, and maintenance. - Collaboration & Development Workflows - Collaborate with marketing, content, and design teams to deliver projects. - Communicate project progress and blockers clearly with stakeholders. - Contribute ideas to improve development processes and code quality. - Stay updated with emerging WordPress technologies and best practices. Qualifications: - Solid understanding of WordPress CMS, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. - Knowledge of MySQL, Elementor, Gutenberg, and REST API integration. - Experience with Git, attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certification in Computer Science or related field. - 02 years of experience in WordPress development or a related role.
