IDESLABS PRIVATE LIMITED is looking for SAP BASIS OSDB Migration to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey As an SAP BASIS OS/DB Migration Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and executing SAP system migrations involving changes to the Operating System (OS) and Database (DB) This role involves collaborating with various teams, planning and executing migration projects, and ensuring the successful transition of SAP systems to new OS/DB environments Key Responsibilities: Migration Planning:Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather requirements and plan SAP OS/DB migrations Assess the impact of the migration on existing SAP landscapes and develop a comprehensive migration plan Operating System Migration:Execute operating system migrations for SAP systems, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity Coordinate with infrastructure teams to implement OS changes and configurations Database Migration:Plan and execute database migrations, ensuring a smooth transition of SAP databases to the target platform Perform pre-migration and post-migration checks to validate the integrity of the database SAP System Landscape:Manage the landscape design and system architecture during and post-migration Ensure proper integration with other SAP modules and components Backup and Recovery Planning:Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to safeguard data during the migration process Test and validate backup and recovery procedures Performance Optimization:Optimize the performance of SAP systems in the new OS/DB environment Conduct performance tuning and configuration adjustments as needed Technical Troubleshooting:Address technical issues and challenges encountered during the migration process Collaborate with SAP support and other relevant teams for issue resolution Documentation:Create and maintain documentation for the migration process, configurations, and system landscape changes Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and follows best practices User Training and Support:Provide training and support to end-users and technical teams affected by the migration Address inquiries and issues related to the new OS/DB environment Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization in OS/DB migration procedures Stay informed about updates and best practices in SAP BASIS and migration methodologies
