Senior Electrical Engineer Rail Systems

In India, we are expanding our Rail & Transit team from our New Delhi office to deliver design, PMC and construction supervision services on major metro, highspeed and conventional rail projects. Our Rail Department has delivered projects in India, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, USA, Oman, Turkey, Algeria and more. This role is focused on rail electrification and traction power systems for metro, highspeed and conventional rail projects in India and internationally. Relevant railway electrical experience is mandatory. Primary Responsibilities Electrical engineering design, systems and integration for rail and transit projects, principally highspeed rail, metro, LRT, commuter rail and associated infrastructure. Develop and review design deliverables for traction power, OCS/OHLE, substations, medium and lowvoltage distribution, auxiliary power and SCADA . Design and coordinate AC (25 kV / 2×25 kV) and DC traction systems , TSS, ATS/SSP, autotransformer centres and straycurrent mitigation. Interface with signalling, telecoms, SCADA, OCC and systems integration teams. Prepare and review technical specifications, equipment data sheets and bid packages. Review contractor submittals, RFIs and field change requests; ensure quality, schedule and budget compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering . Chartered Engineer (IEI) or equivalent professional registration is highly desirable. 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with significant experience on rail or metro systems projects in India or internationally . Proven experience with traction power systems, OHE/OCS and rail electrical infrastructure . Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. Key Technical Competencies Rail traction power (AC 25 kV / 2×25 kV, DC 750/1500 V) and power distribution. Overhead Contact System (OCS/OHLE) design and integration. Substations, switchgear and protective relaying. Grounding, bonding and straycurrent control. Interface with signalling, communications and rail systems integration. Safetyindesign principles for rail and transit.
