About the role
At IDOM, we cover all aspects of railway telecommunications: transmission networks, GSM‑R/LTE‑R/TETRA, CCTV, PA/PIS, SCADA, ticketing, Wi‑Fi and OCC integration . We are looking for a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our New Delhi team and lead telecoms engineering on metro, high‑speed and conventional rail projects. Primary Responsibilities Develop telecommunications engineering design, coordination and integration for rail and transit systems (metro, HSR, mainline, LRT). Develop and review design deliverables for transmission backbone (MPLS/IP, DWDM, SDH), GSM‑R / LTE‑R / TETRA radio, CCTV, PA/PIS, clock, ticketing (AFC), passenger Wi‑Fi and access control Design and coordinate SCADA architectures and OCC/BCC integration with signalling, traction and station systems. Interface with signalling, electrical, SCADA, OCC, PSD and civil teams. Prepare technical specifications, equipment data sheets, cable schedules, block diagrams and bid packages. Review contractor submittals, RFIs and field change requests; ensure quality, schedule and budget compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrical Engineering . 8+ years of experience in rail/metro telecommunications engineering. Proven experience delivering transmission networks, radio (GSM‑R/LTE‑R/TETRA), CCTV, PA/PIS, SCADA and AFC for rail projects in India or internationally. Skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams. Key Technical Competencies Rail transmission backbone (IP/MPLS, DWDM, SDH). Radio systems: GSM‑R, LTE‑R, TETRA . CCTV, PA/PIS, clock and passenger information systems. SCADA and OCC/BCC architectures. AFC / ticketing systems and station integration. EMC coordination and interface with signalling, traction and OCS.
