About the role
Job Title: Lead Firmware Engineer Embedded C, Linux Yocto (Medical/Surgical Devices) Experience: 10+ Years Location: [Hyderabad] Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field : We are looking for a Lead Firmware Engineer to design and build high-reliability embedded software for surgical/medical devices. You will own the software stack from the Linux/Yocto BSP layer up through application logic, working on custom Xilinx-based hardware. This is a hands-on technical leadership role you'll write code, lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile setup. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize embedded C/C++ applications on embedded Linux Build and maintain custom Yocto-based Linux images, layers, and recipes (mandatory) Work with Xilinx SoC platforms (Zynq/Zynq UltraScale+), including Petalinux/Xilinx SDK Interface with hardware peripherals: UART, SPI, QSPI, I2C, DDR Build multi-threaded, socket-based applications for distributed/networked systems Work with RTOS (DEOS/FreeRTOS) for real-time functionality Develop GUI components using Qt Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Bamboo) and manage builds via CMake Write unit/integration/system-level tests; debug and resolve system-level issues Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive design decisions with minimal supervision Prepare technical documentation and communicate solutions to stakeholders Must-Have Skills: 10+ years in embedded software development (resource-constrained/low-power systems) Solid C/C++ for embedded systems Hands-on experience with Yocto (mandatory) Experience with Xilinx SDK / Zynq / Petalinux UART/SPI/QSPI/I2C/DDR peripheral experience Multithreading and socket programming Linux kernel and/or FreeRTOS experience CMake, Jenkins/Bamboo, CI/CD pipelines Python Positive to Have: Qt/QML GUI development DEOS RTOS experience Medical device / regulated software background (IEC 62304) Prior experience mentoring or leading a team Job Title: Lead Firmware Engineer Embedded C, Linux Yocto (Medical/Surgical Devices) Experience: 10+ Years Location: [Hyderabad] Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field : We are looking for a Lead Firmware Engineer to design and build high-reliability embedded software for surgical/medical devices.
