SR Manufacturing Engineer

Process Design & Strategy: Developing and optimizing end-to-end manufacturing sequences for new products (NPI - New Product Introduction).Automation & Industry 4.0: Leading the transition toward automated assembly lines, integrating robotics, and implementing IoT-based monitoring systems.Capital Expenditure (CAPEX): Evaluating and justifying the purchase of high-value machinery. Managing the budget, installation, and commissioning of new plant equipment.Advanced Problem Solving: Leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex chronic production issues using tools like 8D, Fishbone, or 5-Why analysis.Cycle Time & Cost Reduction: Driving Lean initiatives to eliminate non-value-added activities, reducing the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).Quality & Compliance: Ensuring all processes meet ISO, IATF 16949 (Automotive), or AS9100 (Aerospace) standards. Overseeing PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis). Mentorship: Supervising Junior Engineers and Diploma Trainees, conducting technical reviews, and fostering a culture of safety and precision.Required Technical SkillsExpert Design Knowledge: Mastery of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Catia for complex jig and fixture design.Lean Six Sigma: Preferably a Green Belt or Black Belt certification.Advanced Analytics: Expertise in Minitab or Excel for Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Capability Analysis ($C_p / C_{pk}$).Project Management: Experience with Microsoft Project or similar tools to manage plant-wide shutdowns or machine relocations.
