About the role
As a Data Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience, you should possess a Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience. Your exceptional problem-solving skills and self-motivation will be key assets in this role. Here are the primary and secondary skills required for this position: Primary Skills: - Proficiency in SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and PowerBI - Ability to write Complex SQL Queries - Experience in Debugging and Optimizing SQL - Exposure to creating/maintaining design artifacts like source to target Mapping documents, data flow diagrams, and RCA documents - Understanding of BI concepts such as OLTP vs OLAP - Experience working in an Agile environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Secondary Skills/Good to Have: - Hands-on experience with Python, AWS, and/or Databricks - Strong practical experience in building and deploying data solutions using Python - Familiarity with cloud and data platforms like AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, SageMaker, EC2, IAM) and/or Databricks (e.g., Spark, Delta Lake, notebooks, workflows/jobs) - Experience in executing AI experiments and initiatives for productivity and automation improvement - Proven track record in designing, running, and iterating on AI/ML experiments - Delivering business impact through AI-driven solutions for productivity enhancement and workflow automation - Exposure to MLOps/LLMOps practices and responsible AI considerations is preferred Additionally, the job requires: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field - Experience with performance tuning SQL queries, Spark job, and stored procedures - Understanding of E-R data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) - Understanding of advanced data warehouse concepts (Factless Fact Tables, Temporal/Bi-Temporal models, etc.) - Strong analytical and communication skills to interpret customer business requirements and collaborate effectively across various IT and Business groups - Proven ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and resolve conflicts in priorities - Strong problem-solving skills to bring clarity to business objectives, requirements, and priorities As a Data Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience, you should possess a Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
