Senior AI Engineer Vision Language Models (VLM) (Bangarapet)

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and optimise Vision Language Model (VLM) solutions for video understanding and incident detection. - Build AI pipelines for detecting falls, physical restraints, altercations, and other safety-related events from video streams. - Develop prompting strategies, reasoning workflows, and multimodal AI solutions for scene understanding. - Evaluate and benchmark VLMs against traditional computer vision and action-recognition models. - Improve model accuracy through prompt refinement, feedback loops, and continuous experimentation. - Optimise AI models for deployment on cloud and edge GPU infrastructure. - Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Product teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions. Skills - Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern AI/ML frameworks. - Hands-on experience with Vision Language Models (VLMs) and Multimodal AI. - Solid understanding of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Generative AI. - Experience with video analytics, scene understanding, and activity recognition. - Familiarity with Hugging Face, OpenCV, Docker, Azure AI/ML, and REST APIs. - Experience with GPT-4o Vision, Gemini, Qwen-VL, LLaVA, InternVL, Florence, or similar VLMs. - Knowledge of GPU optimisation, model deployment, and MLOps practices. Qualifications - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. - 4+ years of experience in AI/ML, Computer Vision, or Applied AI Engineering. - 2+ years of hands-on experience with multimodal AI - Experience building AI solutions from research and prototyping through production deployment. - Strong understanding of AI model evaluation metrics, including accuracy, latency, precision, and recall. - Experience working with large-scale image or video datasets. - Solid analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
