About the Role
Join a pivotal data leadership team within Health and Human Services (HHS) as the AI Business Intelligence Lead. You will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI data solutions and operational program needs, empowering non-technical staff to leverage complex data for strategic decision-making and official reporting. Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison between IT, data teams, and non-technical HHS program staff to gather requirements and translate them into actionable AI-driven data queries.

Lead and manage technical projects using hybrid Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring all project documentation and deliverables are met.

Develop, refine, and maintain AI prompts and query templates to extract, synthesize, and validate data from multiple complex sources.

Guide and mentor non-technical users in effective AI prompting and interpretation of data outputs for accurate reporting.

Collaborate with analysts and IT leaders to create and validate dashboards, reports, and visualizations for program monitoring and compliance.

Champion data literacy by designing and delivering AI training sessions, documentation, and tutorials for staff at all skill levels.

Ensure data integrity, adherence to reporting standards, and compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.

Continuously explore and implement new AI and data analytics tools to improve data quality and access across the organization.

Required Skills and Experience

10+ years in data analysis, business/systems analytics, or data liaison roles within complex environments.

Proven expertise in translating business requirements into technical data queries, including AI prompting.

Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

Strong experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for data visualization.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams and validate data outputs for official reporting.

Preferred Skills

Project management experience utilizing Agile and Waterfall methods.

Experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse environments.

Prior work in health and human services or regulated agencies.

Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and responsible AI practices.

Experience developing and leading data literacy and AI training.

Exposure to Python and Streamlit for AI prompt catalogs.
