Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mass properties models for advanced launch vehicles and subsystems

• Perform weight and balance analysis to estimate and optimize system mass properties

• Establish design target weights and track compliance throughout the project lifecycle

• Maintain mass properties accounting systems and deliver trend analysis to program leadership

• Support proposal evaluations, design reviews, and generate operational documentation

• Conduct component weighing and verification to enhance estimate accuracy

• Present technical findings in reviews and meetings

• Engage closely with cross-functional teams to gather data and communicate status

• Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related STEM field

• 0–5 years of engineering experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

• Detail-oriented and collaborative

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Basic CAD proficiency

• Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance (active clearance required)

• Preferred Skills

• Experience programming with Microsoft Access VBA and Excel Macros

• Independent project completion with minimal oversight

• Practical experience with mass properties (mass, center of gravity, moments of inertia)

• Prior mass properties work in academic or professional settings
