Job Summary: QA Lead – Financial Applications (Remote, India)

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, strategy, and execution of QA activities for financial platforms

• Review requirements, identify risks, and define acceptance criteria for thorough test coverage

• Develop, maintain, and optimize test scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing

• Guide and prioritize automation efforts, ensuring scalable and reusable test suites

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and project leadership to align QA goals

• Lead defect triage, track resolutions, and validate fixes for release readiness

• Oversee test data management and environment preparation across multiple systems

• Deliver clear QA status updates, metrics, and recommendations to leadership

• Mentor and guide QA analysts and testers, fostering team growth and expertise

• Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years in software quality assurance, including QA leadership

• Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and defect lifecycle

• Proven experience testing financial applications and workflows

• Hands-on API testing expertise for system integration

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities

• Proficiency with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience in test automation and working within Agile environments

• Self-starter able to design test strategies with minimal guidance

• Preferred Skills

• Experience with Workday Financials or Adaptive Planning

• Familiarity with AI-driven test automation and strategy design

• Scripting or programming knowledge (JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python)

• Use of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, k6)

• Test management tool experience (TestRail, Zephyr)
