About the role
[About the Role] Join Lockheed Martin as a Systems Engineer within our Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team, part of the Radio Frequency Sensor Product Center (RFSPC) in Orlando, FL. [Responsibilities]
- Lead the creation and maintenance of Functional Integration Plans (FIPs) and system architecture models for advanced RF capabilities.
- Develop and manage system requirements, ensuring alignment with current and future program objectives.
- Design Internal Block Diagrams (IBDs), Use Cases, Functional Diagrams, and various architectural views using MBSE tools such as Cameo.
- Facilitate integration of MBSE Starter Kits and training materials to support engineering team adoption.
- Align and trace requirements, models, and test artifacts between Cameo and JIRA to capture and report on key performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with RFSPC engineers and system product owners to ensure model accuracy and relevance.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with MBSE using Cameo and SysML-based design.
- At least 3 years in requirements analysis, decomposition, and architecture development.
- Proficient in developing physical architectures, including Block Definition Diagrams (BDDs) and Internal Block Diagrams (IBDs).
- Demonstrated ability to generate and decompose requirements into derived specifications.
- Solid background in Open System Architecture (OSA) principles and SysML-based tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience/education.
- Experience in defining system functionality through state diagrams and operational modes.
- Skilled in translating system needs into executable architectures.
[Preferred Skills]
- Experience collaborating with cross-discipline teams to address complex requirements.
- Exposure to digital engineering environments, MBSE, and digital twin concepts.
- Background in system-of-systems architecture and model-based design.
- Familiarity with operational modeling tools and formal verification processes.
- Knowledge of the Verification Cross-Reference Matrix (VCRM) for requirements traceability.
