Engr 1, Mechanical – Combination Product Test Engineer
Location: Branchburg, NJ 08876 | On-site, 5 days/week | Contractor | $30/hr
About the Role
Join a leading laboratory services provider as a Combination Product Test Engineer, supporting critical projects for clients in the medical device, IVD, and pharmaceutical industries. Responsibilities

Execute timely and accurate product and equipment testing, following protocols and client requirements

Manage sample receipt, identification, storage, and return shipping

Analyze test data using Excel, JMP, MiniTab, and summarize findings in reports

Maintain inventory of lab supplies and coordinate routine sample disposition, including hazardous waste disposal

Ensure laboratory and storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with quality systems

Identify and report potential quality events (OOS, Deviations, CAPA) and support investigations
-
Draft and review reports, test methods, and lab documents under supervision

Communicate effectively with management and clients, providing updates and technical overviews where needed

Collaborate openly and respectfully with colleagues, contributing to a positive team environment

Required Skills and Experience

Associate’s degree or relevant experience (minimum 2 years in laboratory, medical device, IVD, or pharma)

Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting

Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage changing priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines

Preferred Skills
-
Knowledge of GLP, cGMPs, ISO, and ASTM methodologies

Experience in contract testing or laboratory environment

Technical document drafting and protocol generation skills
