Security Analyst – Identity & Access Management Location: San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX (On-site)
About the Role
Join a forward-thinking security team as a Security Analyst focused on driving enterprise-level account discovery and identity visibility initiatives. You’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening our organization’s IAM maturity, collaborating with experienced peers, and ensuring compliance within a regulated environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge IAM tools, gain exposure to cross-functional teams, and develop expertise in account governance and risk management.
Responsibilities

Perform structured account discovery across diverse platforms and business units.

Aggregate and analyze account entitlements using advanced IAM/IGA tools such as SailPoint.

Leverage data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL) to identify dormant or orphaned accounts and monitor remediation progress.

Collaborate with application owners to validate account purpose and ownership.

Apply standardized methodologies for account classification and authority assessment.

Identify and escalate high-risk privileged accounts or excessive access.

Contribute to audit readiness and compliance reporting for frameworks such as SOX, NIST, and ISO.

Support ongoing IAM governance improvements and participate in cross-team initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience
-
Minimum 5 years in IAM, specializing in account discovery.

At least 4 years’ experience in data analysis and access validation, with strong analytical abilities.

3+ years in security and risk assessment with a deep understanding of privilege levels and compliance.

Expertise with Active Directory / Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID).

Proficiency in IAM/IGA platforms, specifically SailPoint.

Skilled in using Excel, Power BI, or SQL for large dataset analysis.

Demonstrated success collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools.

Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation.

Professional certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or IAM-related credentials.
