[About the Role] Join our team at Ft Meade, Maryland as a Cybersecurity Watch Officer, working onsite Monday through Thursday nights (9pm–7am). You will play a pivotal role in protecting critical government networks, executing real-time operational actions, and ensuring enterprise-wide cyber situational awareness. [Responsibilities]

• Execute continuous enterprise network monitoring and incident/problem resolution.
• Monitor SIEM tools for alerts and review IDS/IPS and firewall activity.
• Troubleshoot security issues, mitigate risks, and document all incidents.
• Analyze operational reporting and leverage intelligence to identify threats.
• Triage security events, identify trends, and provide threat analysis.
• Maintain centralized communications for operational coordination.
• Provide situational understanding and support the development, coordination, and release of operational orders.
• Track cyber operations forces and prioritize incidents for response.

[Required Skills and Experience]

• Must be able to obtain/maintain DOD Top Secret SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience, Associate’s degree with 6+ years, no degree with 8+ years, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CySA+, CND, CISSP, CASP+ CE).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (ArcSight, Splunk, or Wireshark).
• Strong knowledge of network/application protocols, cyber vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques.
• Familiarity with cyber threat methodologies and TTPs.

[Preferred Skills]

• Experience with DISA/government networks.
• Understanding of government orders process.
• Proven ability to brief senior leadership.
• Experience in extended cybersecurity analytics.
• Background in intelligence-driven defense or cyber Kill Chain methodology.
