Ericsson IMS/VoLTE L1 Operations Engineer IMS/VoLTE L1 Operations Engineer Experience 1-5 Years Location: Chennai / Noida Job Summary We are seeking an IMS/VoLTE L1 Operations Engineer responsible for the 24x7 monitoring, fault management, alarm handling, and first-level troubleshooting of Ericsson IMS and VoLTE network elements. The candidate will ensure network availability, service continuity, and adherence to agreed SLAs. Key Responsibilities Network Monitoring Operations Perform 24x7 monitoring of Ericsson IMS and VoLTE network elements. Monitor alarms, events, and service KPIs using Ericsson OSS/NMS tools. Identify, analyze, and report network faults impacting IMS/VoLTE services. Conduct first-level troubleshooting and restoration activities. Incident Management Open, track, and manage trouble tickets as per operational procedures. Escalate critical issues to L2/L3 support teams and vendors. Ensure timely incident resolution within SLA timelines. Participate in bridge calls during major incidents. Fault Management Analyze alarms related to: CSCF (P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF) HSS MMTel SBC/IBCF MGCF EPG/EPC interfaces Perform alarm correlation and impact assessment. Verify service restoration after issue resolution. Service Assurance Monitor VoLTE service KPIs and performance indicators. Support daily health checks and operational reports. Ensure availability and stability of IMS services. Assist in preventive maintenance activities. Documentation Reporting Maintain incident logs and operational records. Prepare shift handover reports. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Update knowledge base and troubleshooting documents. Required Technical Skills IMS/VoLTE Knowledge Good understanding of: Ericsson IMS Architecture VoLTE Call Flow SIP Protocol Diameter Protocol LTE/EPC Fundamentals IMS Registration Procedures Voice Call Setup and Termination Ericsson Platforms Experience or exposure to: Ericsson IMS HSS CSCF Nodes SBC/IBCF MGCF Ericsson OSS-RC (preferred) Protocol Knowledge SIP Diameter DNS TCP/IP SCTP LTE Signaling Basics Monitoring Tools Ericsson OSS Alarm Monitoring Systems Ticketing Tools (Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field. Knowledge of LTE/VoLTE and IMS technologies. Understanding of telecom operations processes. Preferred Skills Experience in NOC/SOC telecom operations. Understanding of ITIL processes. Basic Linux/Unix command knowledge. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
