Junior Test Engineer

Role Overview We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Test Engineers to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about software quality and want to build a strong foundation in manual testing, basic automation, and AI- assisted testing practices. As a Junior Test Engineer, you will work closely with experienced test engineers, developers, and project teams to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications and systems throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Understand application requirements and functional specifications under guidance Design and execute manual test cases for web applications and systems Perform different types of testing including functional, system, regression, and performance and security testing Identify, log, and track defects with clear steps, expected results, and supporting evidence Participate in requirement reviews to understand test scope and scenarios Support test execution cycles and regression testing activities Assist in maintaining test documentation such as test cases, test execution reports, and defect reports Collaborate with developers and team members to validate fixes and improvements Gain exposure to test automation by supporting automation scripts under guidance Use Ailyce (such as test case generation, test data creation, or defect analysis tools) under guidance Follow defined testing processes, standards, and best practices Communicate clearly with team members regarding test progress and issues Demonstrate ownership, learning mindset, and attention to detail in all testing activities Coordinate with team members to ensure clear communication and alignment on deliverables Build and maintain strong positive working relationships with customers and internal teams Required Skills & Knowledge (Must Have) Testing & Technical Fundamentals Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Knowledge of manual testing concepts and testing types Understanding of test case design and defect lifecycle Basic awareness of functional and non-functional testing Familiarity with test documentation such as test cases and defect reports Fundamental understanding of web applications and system testing concepts Automation & Tools Basic knowledge of Java/Python programming Introductory understanding of automation tools such as Selenium/Playwrite Awareness of testing frameworks like TestNG and build tools like Maven Familiarity with Agile development environments AI & Modern Testing Awareness (Basic) Willingness to learn and use AI-assisted testing tools for improving test efficiency Understanding that AI can support activities such as test case generation, test data creation, and defect analysis Experience and Education 0 1 year of experience in software testing (including internships, training, or academic Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Completion of a software testing course or certification is mandatory Soft Skills & Mindset Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing practices Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proactive, self-motivated, and responsible attitude Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment Nice to Have Exposure to automation testing scripts or frameworks Basic awareness of CI/CD pipelines Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based projects What We Offer Competitive entry-level compensation Structured on-the-job training with mentoring from experienced engineers Hands-on experience with real-world projects Opportunity to work with international customers Exposure to modern testing tools, automation frameworks, and AI-assisted practices Supportive and collaborative work environment Clear learning and career growth opportunities
