Job description Interoperability Consultant Interop Consultant (HL7v2) Position Overview The Interoperability Consultant plays a critical role in facilitating seamless data exchange between Provider organizations and Elevance through the development, implementation, and management of healthcare data interfaces. Core Responsibilities Collaborate with Provider organizations and downstream ancillary system analysts to understand and develop business and functional interface requirements Deliver to Provider and receive returned Elevance configuration documents Submit all applicable connectivity tickets between Provider and Elevance Health via ServiceNow (SNOW) Utilize available tools to analyze Provider data and provide gap analysis to translate business requirements into functional field-level specification requirements Provide project management staff with comprehensive status reports regarding assigned projects Collaborate with assigned developers to ensure understanding of specifications and validate accurate deliverables Identify outlier testing scenarios and develop test plans for quality assurance Participate with developers on interface validation prior to delivery to downstream systems Remediate any issues identified by downstream systems and analysts prior to activation Ensure compliance with all testing, documentation, and change management requirements Monitor post-live interface performance until transition to support Participate in team activities to develop, modify, and enhance standard specifications, processes, and training procedures Required Qualifications Minimum Experience: HL7v2 Experience: 3+ years reading and manipulating HL7v2 messages with interface engine output Communication Protocols: VPN, SOAP, TLS, SFTP. Hands-on HL7v2: Direct experience with HL7v2 messages (Required). Transaction Sets: ADT, VXU, ORU, MDM, SIU Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities Excellent analytical skills with ability to understand complex data structures and manipulate large datasets Strong logical thought process for design and analysis; ability to translate verbal and written information into interface requirements Strong ability to interpret and present data with attention to accuracy and detail Ability to work independently and deliver results Ability to prioritize projects and manage critical deadlines Capability to manage multiple tasks with ease and efficiency Strong ability to communicate technical information clearly to all organizational levels Ability to quickly acquire, assimilate, and apply new technical knowledge and skills autonomously
