Senior Data Scientist AI / ML (Telecom Domain Preferred) ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist who can own enterprise AI engagements end-to-end - from problem framing and data understanding through model development, deployment and continuous optimization. This role requires strong technical depth in AI/ML and data science, combined with the ability to engage directly with clients and guide teams to deliver production-grade AI solutions. Prior experience or strong working knowledge of Telecom technology and data environments is a significant advantage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Translate complex business requirements into well-scoped, testable AI/ML problem statementsLead exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and data quality assessment across structured and unstructured dataDesign and deliver predictive, prescriptive and generative AI solutions aligned to business outcomesSelect modelling approaches considering interpretability, stability and operational constraintsCollaborate with data engineering teams to ensure consistency between training and inference pipelinesEnsure AI solutions are production-ready, explainable and scalableSupport client workshops, discovery sessions and solution walkthroughsProvide technical guidance and design oversight to data scientists and ML engineers RequirementsTECHNICAL EXPERTISE Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning and applied data scienceExperience with supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised and ensemble learning techniquesHands-on expertise in time-series modeling, forecasting and sequence-based dataExperience with generative AI and LLM-based systems, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)Understanding of evaluation strategies, biasvariance trade-offs, feature leakage and model generalizationFamiliarity with model lifecycle management, data drift and concept drift TOOLS & PLATFORMS Python and the modern data science ecosystemML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Scikit-learnLLM and generative AI frameworks and orchestration toolsCloud platforms and modern data platformsOpen Source and Propriety toolingAbility to evaluate and recommend tools and architectures based on enterprise context DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE (PREFERRED) Experience or strong familiarity with Telecom technology and data domainsExposure to BSS/OSS systems, roaming technology, charging, billing, customer analytics or network performance dataAbility to incorporate domain constraints into AI solution design and evaluation QUALIFICATIONS 8+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML or advanced analytics rolesProven delivery of real-world, production-grade AI solutionsComfortable operating in client-facing, consultative environmentsStrong communication skills and system-level thinking ROLE CHARACTERISTICS This role sits at the intersection of business understanding, deep technical expertise and delivery accountability.
