Cloud Engineer

Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer Employment Type Contract Location Trivandrum Work Model Hybrid (3 days from Trivandrum office and 2 days Work From Home per week) Experience 8–12 years Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in Python, AWS, and ETL to join our team for a 6-month engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data solutions while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to build and optimize data pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions on AWS. Build, optimize, and manage ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing. Develop automation scripts and backend services using Python. Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure following AWS best practices. Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions. Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot production issues. Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are followed. Document technical designs, deployment procedures, and operational processes. Required Skills 8–12 years of overall IT experience. Strong hands-on experience with Python development. Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, or related services. Strong expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Knowledge of cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure best practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with data engineering and cloud-native architectures. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation) is an advantage. AWS Certification is preferred. Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
