About the role
Department: Software Development | Locations: Coimbatore & Madurai Profile We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer PHP with deep expertise in PHP 8.x & Above, API-driven development, MVC frameworks, and modern enterprise application architecture. The role involves core backend development across ERP, CRM, Retail, SCM, Inventory, Financial and other business domains used by large-scale retail and enterprise customers. You will work on developing high-performance modules, integrating APIs, optimising SQL queries, and supporting scalable multi-branch deployments. Experience: 2 5 years Role & Responsibilities Develop backend modules using PHP 8.x & Above with clean, maintainable coding standards. Design and implement REST APIs for ERP, CRM, Retail and SCM applications. Work with PostgreSQL / MySQL / MS SQL for complex queries, indexing and optimisation. Enhance and maintain existing enterprise modules used by multi-location customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature planning & deployment. Review code, ensure adherence to architecture, and guide junior team members. Troubleshoot bugs, performance bottlenecks and API-level issues. Work on business logic enhancements across retail billing, CRM flows, stock/inventory control, procurement and finance modules. Integrate 3rd-party APIs including SMS, payment gateways, GST, e-invoice and external ERP connectors. Primary Skillset Strong backend development experience with PHP 8.x & Above. Experience with Laravel, CodeIgniter or similar MVC frameworks. Excellent SQL skills across PostgreSQL, MySQL & MS SQL. Strong understanding of enterprise workflows in ERP / CRM / Retail / SCM. Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and integrations. Good understanding of caching, security, performance tuning. Good front-end exposure (HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap). Experience with Git and deployment workflows.
