About the role
As an API Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of APIs through rigorous testing practices. You will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle by utilizing your expertise in API testing principles and methodologies. Your key responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating a strong understanding of API testing principles, methodologies, and tools. - Utilizing your knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Implementing API testing frameworks like Playwright, Postman, and JMeter, along with proficiency in programming languages like NodeJS and Java. - Scripting automation and test data generation using languages like Python and Bash. - Applying your knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Conducting performance testing using tools like JMeter, K6, and employing security testing techniques. - Performing usability testing on frontend components to ensure a seamless user experience. In addition to the above responsibilities, you should possess the following qualifications: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential issues. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
