You will combine your deep understanding of data engineering withbusiness analysis expertise to gather requirements, design solutions, and supportthe execution of data-centric projects. You will work closely with bothbusiness and technical teams to ensure that data solutions meet business goalsand maximize data utilization for strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Business Analysis Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their data requirements and objectives. Translate business needs into clear, actionable data engineering requirements and user stories. Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and developers to define business logic and data flow for analytics solutions. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed functional and non-functional requirements. Data Engineering Solutions Design: Partner with the data engineering team to design scalable and efficient data pipelines, storage solutions, and ETL processes that align with business objectives. Ensure the design and architecture of data systems meet both technical and business requirements, emphasizing performance, reliability, and security. Use your technical knowledge to ensure data engineering solutions align with industry best practices and standards. Data Modeling Data Quality: Work closely with data engineers to create and maintain data models, ensuring data structures are optimized for business analysis. Define data governance standards, including data quality, consistency, and validation rules. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and quality of data across systems and collaborate with data teams to resolve issues. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly communicated and understood by both sides. Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure timely delivery of data engineering projects. Provide insights and business context to development teams, ensuring they understand the bigger picture of data initiatives. Project Management Delivery: Lead data engineering projects by managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations. Track project progress and proactively address roadblocks, ensuring smooth execution and delivery. Create detailed documentation for data engineering processes, architectures, and solutions for future reference and compliance. Continuous Improvement Innovation: Stay up to date with emerging trends in data engineering, business analysis, and analytics to continuously improve internal processes. Propose innovative data engineering solutions to enhance business operations, efficiency, and decision-making. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve data management and analysis. RequiredQualifications: Bachelordegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with at least 3 years in the data engineering domain. Strong background in software development (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) and experience working with data engineering tools and technologies. Hands-on experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka). Solid understanding of data modeling, relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL). Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. Experience in Agile methodologies, particularly in data-focused projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex data scenarios. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. PreferredQualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and associated data services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery). Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for reporting and data visualization. Experience with data governance and security practices. Knowledge of machine learning and AI techniques is a plus. Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or data engineering (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) is a plus.
