About the role
About the job: Key Responsibilities: 1. Take one-on-one voice calls and chats with learners through the Bangalore Connect app. 2. Explain manual testing fundamentals, STLC, test scenarios and test cases, defect life cycle, bug reporting, and severity classification. 3. Guide the manual-to-automation transition, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, framework design, and the Java or Python basics a tester actually needs. 4. Cover API testing with Postman or REST Assured, and basic SQL for backend validation. 5. Review the user's test cases, scripts, or framework structure and explain what to correct. 6. Run mock QA interviews and improve how users answer scenario-based and situational questions. 7. Advise on resumes, projects, certifications worth doing, and what Bengaluru QA teams actually screen for. 8. Maintain a professional, respectful tone and follow platform quality guidelines on every interaction. Currently residing in Bengaluru, Karnataka. 2. Minimum 2 years of professional QA/software testing experience, manual or automated. 3. Hands-on with at least one automation tool or framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar) preferred. 4. Working knowledge of defect tracking tools such as JIRA. 5. Able to explain testing concepts in plain, simple language over a voice call. 6. Fluent in English and at least one of Kannada, Hindi, or Tamil. 7. Own a laptop, smartphone, and a stable internet connection. 8. Working professionals, freelancers, and those on a career break are all welcome; this is a part-time engagement.
