Lead Backend

As a Backend Engineering Lead at our company, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and scaling of backend systems for our high-performance e-commerce platform, Smytten. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the architecture, design, and development of scalable backend systems - Building and optimizing REST APIs used across various platforms - Driving the adoption of microservices architecture at both application and database levels - Conducting code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of production systems - Promoting and guiding the team in the effective use of AI tools for development, testing, and debugging - Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments - Integrating and leveraging Python-based services where applicable To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Strong expertise in Java (8+) and Spring Boot - Working knowledge of Python - Knowledge of AI/ML integration in backend systems - Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture - Deep understanding of REST API design and best practices - Experience with ORM frameworks (JPA/Hibernate) - Strong experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases - Experience in the e-commerce domain - Exposure to event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Additionally, the following skills are considered good to have: - Experience in analytics systems using bigquery - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization - Exposure to libraries/frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Pandas, etc. Your total experience should be 4-6 years in Java development. This position requires a B.Tech / BE / M.Tech / MCA education qualification.
