Electrical Substation Design Engineer

Experience: 8+ Years No. of Positions : 2 Work Location: Bangalore- (Remote) Education Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in electrical engineering Responsibilities Maintain a working knowledge of applicable industry codes and design recommendation documents such as the NESC and RUS Design Guide for Rural Substations. Work with a drafter to effectively communicate details and specifications for the design. Confidently develop and understand all components of typical Protection and Control (or Electrical) substation drawing set, such as Single Line Diagrams, Three Line Diagrams, AC and DC Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, and Cable Schedule, etc. Work with a drafter to effectively communicate details and specifications for the design. Confidently perform substation grounding design and substation lightning protection. Confidently perform battery and battery charger sizing calculations and demonstrate good engineering judgement. Confidently perform substation lighting design and demonstrate good engineering judgement. Confidently perform voltage drop calculations, ampacity calculations, conduit, and trench fill calculations. Confidently perform metering design and CT burdon calculations. Understand the Substation design process and how different components of that process are related and affect each other in the development of the final construction package. Lead QC efforts on wiring diagram packages. Experience in PSS/e, PSLF, PSCAD, ETAP
