ServiceNow Integration SME Consultant (Freelancing Work)

About The Role We are seeking a hands-on ServiceNow Integration SME to own integration architecture and build for an enterprise program where ServiceNow acts as the orchestration layer and single source of truth across multiple external systems (logistics, IoT/smart devices, communications, and AI helpdesk platforms). You will lead technical discovery, design the end-to-end integration landscape, and represent the delivery team confidently in stakeholder-facing technical sessions. Responsibilities Lead technical discovery of external systems (APIs, events, data models) and define the end-to-end integration architecture.Design and build integrations using Integration Hub, REST (inbound Scripted REST APIs and outbound), webhooks, and MID Server where required.Configure asset lifecycle workflows: HAM state models, Flow Designer flows, decision tables for automated business rules, and FSM work orders.Own data migration for initial asset load: import sets, transform maps, and data cleansing.Ensure secure, compliant design for sensitive data: ACLs, encryption, audit trails, and HIPAA-aware data modeling.Present designs and drive open technical questions to closure in stakeholder-facing working sessions. Required Experience 10+ years of ServiceNow experience with deep, hands-on integration expertise (Integration Hub, REST/SOAP, event-based patterns, MID Server).Strong experience with ITAM/HAM (asset lifecycle, state machines) and Flow Designer; FSM exposure strongly preferred.Proven delivery of multi-vendor integrations in enterprise programs, including API discovery with third parties.Solid scripting skills: Business Rules, Script Includes, Scripted REST APIs, transform scripts (JavaScript).Excellent client-facing communication; able to run technical workshops independently. Nice to have Healthcare or HME/DME domain exposure; HIPAA/PHI handling in ServiceNow.CIS certifications (HAM, FSM, or Application Developer); Performance Analytics; Now Assist/AI features. .
