Electrical Product Design Engineer

1.Job General Description :Electrical design for Instrument Cluster, Infotainment and BCM products which comprise of development activities such as a)Designing cost competitive schematic and BOM meeting customer requirements b)Guide ECAD on placement and routing for generating a EMC compliant design c)Design EMC load box for product testing d)Generate product level EMC test plan and co-ordinate with external test labs e)Proto build and test activities f)Replacement identification for EOL components and technical support for implementationg )Conducting Cost reduction initiatives and Design Change Management. 2.Major Responsibilities: a)Electrical circuit design for cluster, Infotainment BCM products b)Effective participation in cost reduction initiatives and providing innovative ideas c)Comply electrical product development process (PDP), Delphi Design Standards (DDS), Interact with cross competencies, conduct peer-reviews and design documentation d)Guide ECAD designer for components placement and PCB lay-out for achieving EMC e)Analyze and innovate ways to achieving EM compliance at first attempt f)Proto-build component procurement, assembly and bench testing g)Establishing test set-ups for bench verifications, build load box when required h)Perform product performance verification documentation per process i)Build EMC test plan for co-ordinate with validation team for product validation j)Supporting EOL components by selection and analysis of alternate components k)DFMEA Creation and Review 3.Technical Skills required: a)Hands-on experience on Analog/Digital/Power Supply design b)In depth understanding on automotive EMI/EMC requirements and design implementation c)Good understanding of Signal and Power Integrity concepts, hands on Hyperlinx or similar tools will be an advantage d)Exposure to EMC testing, test set-ups and procedure is must e)Experience with I2C, SPI, HSCAN, LIN, KW2000 for design implementation f)Experience on complete multiple product designs cycles is must g)Good communication and presentation skills
